	Patrick's Re-election stuff in the mail - A pack of lies.

	Mr. Patrick, I am a conservative who holds individual property rights in high esteem. I believe city government should be in place to insure the public safety and little else. Other than constantly voting to confiscate more and more of my property through tax increases and borrowing for other's gain including rich guys like Jerry Jones, what have you accomplished. I see from your brochure, you are on a bunch of committees and that you are for a great number of pie-in-the-sky goals. What contributions have YOU specifically made? Chuck Sodowsky District 2 817-557-0133 I received, and guess everyone else did, Gene Patrick's re-election stuff in the mail today. This is the piece that bothers me most: Discussing his service on the economic development committee: "... while lessening the tax burden on Arlington homeowners and residents." The fact is that he raised the property tax rate one year, and voted to raise the sales tax rate the next year. I can't afford two more years of Gene Patrick's definition of "lessening the tax burden". I also have a problem with this piece: In Patrick's opening paragraph to the Arlington citizens, he claims to have worked "... to create a safer, cleaner, more efficient Arlington for our families." Please help, I can't figure it out. How does opening our landfill to massive amounts of outsiders trash do this? Richard A. Weber
